Deadmau5 didn’t rip off Tiesto’s Clockwork Orange

For all of you Deadmau5’s fans like me, this is some interesting news!
There was some discussion on Deadmau5’s facebook about a hardcore fan being disappointed that Deadmau5 copied a song from DJ Tiesto compilation album in 1999, Clockwork Orange. He was aware that Deadmau5 remixed the song but the claim said to be that the title should have been called “Clockwork Orange (Deadmau5 Remix)”. So what did Deadmau5 do about this? Here’s the story…
“the Orange Theme, was a remix by Cygnus X… which was good n great and all… it’s basicly an adaptation of the re-occuring theme in Stanley Kubriks “Clockwork Orange” … which is *really* just a modified - updated synthy take on Henry Purcell’s music for the funeral of Queen Mary…”
1. Original (Composed in 1694)

*Can’t embed it, but this video is pretty much the same thing.*
2. As remade for the film a Clockwork Orange (1962)
3. Remade by Cygnus X (1994)
4. Deadmau5’s got his meathooks on and made this (2008)
Therefore, this song is a remix of a remix. Pretty cool how it came about.
